Good sound for a little box, typical Sony.

I have many boombox service manuals. Usually they list only one power output specification, without saying if it was calculated using batteries or mains. But sometimes the manual lists two power outputs, one for batteries and one for mains. If so, the output for mains will always be higher. Sometimes twice as high.

Brutus its in very good condition and the sound is nice and warm.

Reli you are right, almost all the time the power on batteries is lower.

I saw your Technics on YouTube, solid, quality build, and its bi-amp like mine, i follow your channel, you are guru in boomboxes. :wink2

The Sony CFS-W310L doesn't have any bass ports, it's a small boombox, 3 kg in weight.

What was the best sounding boombox that you tested? And how does JVC PC-X500 perform compared with Panasonic RX-DT680?

Really? It looks like there are "bass vents" behind the grills. Are they fake?

The best sounding vintage boombox is the Telefunken Studio 1

I have never heard the JVC PC-X500, but judging by its looks, I doubt it sounds as good as the RX-DT680.

    And thank you!

    Yes they are fake. :dontlike

And the Telefunken HP1800 compared to the Studio 1? I love those analog vu-meters on the Studio 1, and the 3 way speakers, but its hard to find one, and very expensive. Thanks.

HP1800 sounds very good too, same level as the RX-DT680. But the Studio 1 is true hi-fi!
