    Does the Sanyo work on tape Si?? Love the 9998, I had access to one in 1979 & used it as a serious stereo cassette recorder :wink: Superb transport when it works!!

    I don't think you will find it too challenging to make it like new again!! Lighted cassette compartment too a nice touch!!

    Tosh is a nice spec but not really my thing - a rare bird I believe?

    Nah of course it doesn't lol...even unserviced and crackly I can tell it's got good sound tho.

    Yeh I think the Tosh is a relatively uncommon machine. This one is fully working it seems! I like its weird upside down look

    The Sanyo is a very good box the Tosh is junk sounding hated mine couldn't wait to get rid :laugh:

    That Sanyo looks clean, well worth fxing Si. And I love the Tosh even if it does sounds pants i'll still take it :D

    You will be amazed once you rebelt it & clean all the mechanical pots etc..........

    Any help you might want, pm me & get on the phone - it has the same deck as my M-9996K & first time inside one can be a bit daunting :scratch2: :scratch2: :scratch2:

    Happy to help in any way to see that sing once again......they are very good stereo's :biggrin:

    I really like those. They both look like great boxes. I really like that Sanyo. Its the dual VU meters that just sets it off for me. Excellent :thumbsup:

    It has nothing to do with bass si lad, a womans vibrator sounds better than one of these lol
