      Hmm ... a longwave (LW) band in lieu of a shortwave (SW) band on this monaural Tensai mini-box? I only vaguely recall having met this brand, maybe online, maybe in some electronics store in another state. (Shrug) In any case, it's obviously a version -- if not a brand altogether -- for the European market. Handily, there's a tape counter, so some indexing of audiocassettes can proceed.

      The tuner dial seems clear enough. I've just realized that the topside controls are probably quite sizeable. Still, the handle almost seems invitingly rectangular (or "cuboid"), even as the handle on my Sanyo M-1770K seems tastefully half-rounded in contrast.

      And is that a condenser microphone tucked into the upper-right corner of that irregular pentagon of a black speaker grille -- you know, the steel mesh with the sighter scope-like grid behind it?
