LASONIC TRC-909s

Those speakers look intense with those fifteen or so circles ringing each tweeter. Intense enough, in fact, to verge on my feeling at times that they are, well, ugly. We've certainly seen such styling in some models of other brands like Panasonic, Sanyo and (perhaps most likely) Sharp. Still, the clear, shortwave-featuring tuner façade, those two VU meters and the Lasonic pedigree recommend this probably previously unknown model. (Besides, inspecting the speaker grilles in a Pinterest image -- found with a Google search -- seems to reveal that the ribbing adjoining those circles is somewhat slanted or canted. Reminiscent of a jet engine's intake, no?)
