    Hey!

I'm looking for either a WM-DC2 or WM-D6C in good condition, been looking around eBay but there's no way of knowing what you're getting. Really would like to purchase from someone who knows and loves Walkman.

    Welcome to S2G forum DannyDock
Be patient about buying any walkman. DC2 and D6c are both excellent walkmans.

Yeah, I have a hunch getting a decent DC-2 is going to take a while...

Yep DC2 are hard to come by these days. Always on the look out on yahoo auctions myself and haven't seen one on there for months. Keep looking. Never know when one will pop up.

When I last visited Galaxy Repairs in central London with my d6c they had a stack of them (maybe 8 or 9) just repaired. So, even though their website is really weak you can email and ask them for a good condition unit, and ask about postage. I’d imagine the units they have are in various conditions but I was surprised to see so many just waiting there. Those guys are really good too http://www.galaxyrepairsandspares.com/

What’s a normal sort of postage cost to/from the US?

    From the USA expensive

    http://www.stereo2go.com/forums/threads/postal-charges-to-from-different-countries.1588/#post-12988

To give you an idea the box the tuner came in was just big enough for two WM22s with no packing.

Sending two WM22s to the USA using Royal Mail Tracked and Signed with up to £250 compensation
would cost £14.95 using as much packing as you needed.

I find Royal Mail is reasonably cheap but the maximum weight is 2Kg.
With things like Britains Toy Soldiers I have split the sets and sent them as two parcels as that is the cheapest way.
