What an honour! Mixtapes are a form of art, too. Glad there are still people putting efforts into them.
It's cool to have you join up in the fun over here, Miles. Many experienced and knowledgeable members here who really know there portables and bigger home gear, too. I hope to contribute more on the "smalls" with some of the recent buys and past ones I have owned. Of course, when it comes to mix tapes, I get the most enjoyment from settling into a comfy seat/recliner with the headphones on and a Walkman. Nando.
Welcome to Stereo2go Miracle Mile. It’s funny you have come from Tapeheads to here and being on both sites, I went from here to there to being on both
welcome aboard "Miracle Mile". Your ID is very interesting to me. One of my favorite casinos in Vegas is called Planet Hollywood and i like to stay thee often due to "miracle mile" mall located inside the casino ( it is actually 1.2 miles ) . Anyway, welcome to the forum
@Boodokhan lets not forget that we have "Miracle Mile" closer to home: LACMA is not quite in the same league as Art Institute of Chicago but thanks to my Boss who is the artist (allois.com) I have to get there at least once a month... @Miracle Mile I am a Big fan of EM, especially Berlin Skool. Have All Klaus Schulze/early TD albums, and hundreds of the younger artists. How do I get the tape? I have never made a mixtape in my life (I like to listen to the whole album, as intended by the artist, not "playlists") but I can try. Let me know!
What is the real reason you chose your username, Miles? I thought perhaps this might have been it: Nando.
@Elite-ist Do I glimpse a pint of Lager next to the Beauty? Is there any better way to enhance your listening experience than that?! I should add this tip to my "snake oil" thread here... Envious deck you've got! Serviced yourself??
@ Hugo - Close, it's a Pioneer CT-A7. It's usually beer in the summer taping season and cognac or Sambuca in the colder months. I bet you didn't know there were different taping seasons. @ Jorge - Sleeman Honey Brown Lager is my regular stand-by. However, we do have a brewery in town that has an even better lager. Nando.
Aha, the A7, an excellent deck too. Well, I always use the same drink: wine. I never thought about different tapins seasons, but I think Iwill try a different one in summer, what we call here a "clara": a mix of 40% beer and 60% lemon drink, which I love. I'll tell you then ;-)
Ah yes, I've seen that movie, caught it when I couldn't sleep a few years ago on TV. Love the Pioneers Elite-ist, one of the few places where LEDs look awesome, now I want to fire up my R1 and watch the meters dance.
@Elite-ist Thanks for the tip! I did not realize there is a gap in my TD collection. Miracle Mile shows as a digital recording, so I will go after CD, I-guess
