    Thanks mate. Yes, seems kind of odd today. We are so used to IR being such an integral part of equipment these days and back then it was an optional extra.........and you had proper controls on the front panel! My how things have changed! :wink:

    Thanks Brutus. Yes the PB5 caught my eye. They will be as rare as hens teeth but they are a lovely looking little machine!

    Was this intended to be a part of a micro systems or? I'm sure they'd mate it to a mini tuner as well if so...?

    Playback only hence no need for meters or a Record Level Control.

    Regarding remote controls they were an expensive extra back then.
    You want a remote control with your TV. That will be an extra £75 please (and that was in 1982)
