Hi all, I'm a 38 year old IT Guy from Germany and according to my age I lived through the eighties even if I don't have memories of the complete time which was great (music) and horrible (fashion) at the same time. I collect and use lot of vintage stuff from this area. Starting with cameras I expanded to HiFi. The HiFi equipment was build up to listen to records. Listening to Vinyl is something totally different. In particular because you can't just hit play at some list and listen 24/7. With records I have often to stand up and turn it or change it. Unfortunately there is no real practical portable record player but there was a great invention made by Sony....yes the Walkman. As kid I never had a Walkman, they were to expensive, but there was a great brand with quite good quality. Yes I'm talking about AIWA. During the time I had several players and then for many years there was just the digital world for me. Now I'm going back to the good old cassette world. First I need to gather some devices and equal important cassettes. Both will come and increase the collection. For the beginning there are three devices in my posession. Sony WM-DD11 (finally I own a Walkman) AIWA HS-PC202 mkIII (in transit) AIWA HS-PX410 (in transit) I think that was enough about me.
