    Hi,

I bought this deck a few months ago, the belts are perished, but luckily the servos still works

I hope to have it serviced soon, mean while I enjoy looking at it

beautiful deck with 2 VU meters. Imagine if you replace the lights with red or green to be very unique.

I used to have a 6800, the deck was a taller design, the cassette went in and sat tilted back at an angle. There was an adjustment for head azimuth in front of the cassette, same VU meters, I loved it but it had a problem with slippy belts. I have a horrible feeling I skipped it because it wasn't working right, slippy belts and I managed to lose a bit of the azimuth adjustment mechanism. It was only a second deck as I had my nice new F770 to play with. If only I had known what was going to happen to cassettes, old decks, prices, collectors etc.! D'ohh!
