I've spent several months laboring over a PJ33 that has all sorts of problems (I suspect mainly caused by old function switches driving electric spikes thru various ICs) compounded by labyrinthine multi-PCB construction making it really challenging to work on; however I'm sticking with it. Then our NZ eBay analog, TradeMe, came up with this one and I couldn't resist. The photo unfortunately captures the cassette doors end-on as if they're not there - but they are. Now packaged up pending a house move and a relaxation of the universal never-enough-hours-in-the-day rule so I can do the mech and tidy up its near perfect skin.
That's a wild one, I've got the little guy and love the rotating speakers. I just found a very early 1972 AKAI Ad with a mono box I was debating about posting, they were there right in the beginning of boomboxes and had a good reputation with their R2Rs.
