This is what I would like to have at home... http://www.walkman-archive.com/wa/2017/01/listening-session-on-angels-music-room/ Wouldn't you want to have one like this at home? [Update] Watch the 360º panorama in glorious full screen here: http://www.stereo2go.com/walkman-archive/panoramas/pano.html
Give Angel my praise for such an awesome system. You took excellent photos, Hugo, and the 360 panorama is something else. Nando.
Thank you Nando. Yes, my friend has invested a LOT of money on it. The first thing he did was to hire an acoustic engineer to prepare the room so by listening in the middle of the couch the sound is almost perfect. Then it took many months until he got all the gear. And boy... that sounds gorgeus BTW: I just added a direct link to watch the 360º panorama in full screen.
Nice. I like Kronos turntables, they are up there with some of the best turntables I have ever heard.
If I am correct, Angel is someone I know well from the Tapeheads forum. He had high-end gear and he contributed to a few Travelling tape projects I was involved in. I, also, have one of his mix tapes, given to me by Scott (braxus). I believe it was recorded on his Nakamichi Dragon. Nando.
You're right, Tre, it sounds amazing. I only head a room better, and that was a lot more of thousands of euros at one of the most exclusive high-end stores here. Read it here: http://www.walkman-archive.com/wa/2016/02/star-wars-on-reel-tape-duplicating-to-my-pioneer-rt-909/. thanks! Glad that you liked the 360º I have never seen or knew about this brand but this is serious indeed. It's also the best turntable I've heard too. I wasn't aware that Angel is already on Tapeheads but it indeed could be. I knew him through a very small spanish forum and he lives also here at Barcelona. He has a lot of excellent decks, including the legendary 1000ZXL in gold finish, which is extraordinarily rare and expensive! I'll ask him about TH, though.
I can tell that your friend spent a lot of TIME and money to make this room. Excellent panoramic presentation. Thanks for sharing
Absolutely. He hired a guy to build the room in his "back garden", outside if home using heavy sound isolation and then hired an acousting engineer to prepare it. Then ordered a custom made furniture for the stack and then all the equipment. It took more than a year but the result is truly awesome.
always wanted mbl 101e mk2's. prefer telefunken m15 or studer 827 for R2R. also other amps = boulders. pre- amp, sonosax. so the sound of this setup could be alottt better. yep, give me money... 100-200k. starts at 2.00 min
