Since @Mister X has just mentioned the Techmoan mini system video I thought people might like to see some of the systems in the Argos Winter 2000 catalogue Unbelievably there are ten pages of Mini and Midi systems ranging in price from £500 down to £40. Minis and MiniDisc must have been at their peak while Vinyl must have been at its lowest ebb as there is just one turntable and that is lumped in with a £200 Aiwa Midi System.
A couple of months ago I have almost bought a CMT-CP1 like on the pic for $50, the seller claimed that everything worked, but this system does not have even minimal bass/treble controls, and everyone says that it is too harsh/bright. So I passed. Would not mind one with tape type selector, Dolby and tone controls.
