    Hi guys
Here is my new boombox wall in the making hope you enjoy!

After having difficulties to store many of my ghettoblasters in a small apartment of 75 sq meters,i had to come up with a cheap fast solution to store them but enjoy them at the same time.
In the old wall there was a aquarium from my ex so this had to go to make the living room more exciting to me!
Since time was of essence i had only one weekend,i purchased an ikea ivar modular system and painted it close to the color i wanted to achieve.I had to paint the old wall due to some serious drilling made in the past for a shelving system and check new colors for the apartment at the same time. Not being an expert in putty and other construction materials i can only say that i rule the putty now!

Some info if someone wants to try my ikea hack:
Mount it on the wall it is very unstable if you don't.
This shelving system can hold up to 50kg per shelve, however i am not going to try that since i do not trust ikea and i want to keep my ghettoblasters safe.It can definitely hold up to two big ones in one shelve so double the space for me.The good thing on those is that the shelves can easily be adjusted the height you want.Unable to find a cheaper solution from a local wood store i had to follow this solution since this wall is lacking at some parts a second brick after a reconstruction back in 2010,so classic ideas of shelving would fail in my case.
You will not find the super grails in here but they are coming and now they have a place to shine!
Hope you enjoy the pictures i definitely had a lot of fun doing this!

A very slick finish to your shelves...looks great. Some nice ones on there too...I count 6 that I’ve got too so have similar tastes. Nice work

Thanks guys i could have paint and sand the pine shelves better but i had enough with it so i left it as it is a rough surface. However wood paint came very cheap from my local store so cost was kept to the minimum
2kg paint for the shelves 1kg for the frame two brushes 3 steel mounts end of story.

However we just hear the news of the death of Tzimis Panousis at the age of 64 suffering a second heart stroke (1st on stage in early December) a true Greek showman stand up comedian, artist, musician and singer very politically active making fun of all the "extremes" in this world!
    Fare well Jimmy!

    Sorry for the off topic!

The wall looks great! Displaying boxes might be the hardest thing I've done over the years...

Stunning work ! What a showcase to display those gorgeous boxes!:headbang:

The dark frame really contrasts against the rest of the room to stand out! Can't get enough of the JVC 3090EN. What a sexy box!
