Unfortunately they only have random issues of this magazine, it does have some cool technical articles for producers and engineers and some gems like this one.
Excellent reading & informational. Might you also have the succeeding articles, Parts 2 & 3, greatly appreciated. Thanks to Mr X ..... Bleusy ************
Re: Cassette Tech & Practice, Pt 1 Just prepped the four pages into a .pdf doc, for easy article reading. Attached document for you all ..... Cheers, Bleusy ************
Well, the hunt must continue, somewhere, these essential reference article issues will be found !!! Bleusy **********
Great reading. Coincidentally I am in the closing phases of auditioning around 1800 used pre-recorded cassettes. Quite a few had lost their pressure pads. A small handful would simply not run well even after diligent run-throughs, increasingly less non-violent tapping, etc., and needed re-shelling. A small proportion of those have still not been usable; if I have changed everything except the tape itself then the tape itself must be the problem and I'm guessing there are variations in the width of the tape that mean some will never run smoothly inside the sandwich. And I should mention a subset of tapes on the Mercury label that don't have guide rollers. Accountants, hang your heads in shame.
