Did Marantz make Sansui Boomboxes?

    Very cool looking Marantz 3.8, extremely rare in the US. Over in Japan it's called the Bustang.

    What looks like it's brother which turns up in the US every once in a while, the Sansui FX-700R

    And this was recently posted on the Beer and Boomboxes Thread. I'm all in, these are the same boxes! I'm thinking Unix (Marantz) made them for Sansui, since Sansui was struggling to survive in the 80's. Marantz (Japan) didn't include US distribution so this was a way to get boomboxes into this lucrative market.
