In the topic about replacing capacitors for Aiwa HS P(C) 202 there is a list of capacitors, but Aiwa PX 303 has 2 (at least I think it's 2) 470uf which aren't mentioned as those are used in PC202. Could anyone help with choosing those that would work and fit?
By the looks of those pictures (https://www.stereo2go.com/topic/ind...5763611310700677&board_oid=522740502721869426) it seems the 470uF ones you mention are through hole ones (also seem to be only 2 of them - the output copuling ones as suspected). From my point of view, there are 3 options: - buy the smallest 470uF you can find at Mouser or DigiKey (these 2 are the most likely to have them, especially Mouser), they will likely be at a voltage rating of 2V or even below. Height should be no more than 5mm. - if you don't find a normal aluminium electrolyitic with above specifications, you can also look at a polymer one (looks like the one in the link provided). - you can use 2 x 220uF SMD tantalums in parallel (which gives a total capacitance of 440uF, close enough to the 470). These are by far the most readily available, but will require wires and won't look the prettiest. But from a functionality point of view, will work perfectly fine. Additionally, you can add another 33uF in parallel to the 2 x 220 if you want to be super precise. Note that aluminium electrolytic capacitors have a tolerance of +/-20% typically, which for the 470uF means the capacitance can vary between 376uF and 564uF (which has been taken into account in the design), that is the primary reason I say 440 is close enough.
I hope they are good, it's the smallest I've found: https://www.tme.eu/pl/details/umw0g471mdd/kondensatory-elektrolityczne-audio-tht/nichicon/
