No I'm not giving them away although in the past companies frequently did.

We have already seen the pop compilations that were offered by Crisp and Biscuit manufacturers. You usually had to send off quite a few wrappers and some money for postage to get them.

Looking through a charity shop yesterday I spotted this amongst the usual talking books and James Last LPs.
For £1.25 which will go to a good cause I decided to buy it.

The copyright is 1987 and below that it says Not For Resale. Hertz certainly didn't spare any expense. The tape is Chrome, has Dolby and was produced for them by Deutsche Gramophon. The question is what did you need to do to get one. Hire a Ford Granada for a week ? Was the Ford Siera considered to be Business Class ?

The playlist on this one is all classical with well known pieces such as Peer Gynt - Morning, Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, Holst -The Planets (Mars), and Handel's Water Music. I noticed this is Tape No.3 . It is possible that different tapes were different genres. Googling got me loads of stuff about car rental and absolutely nothing about cassettes so I don't know.
