Hi Mister X. Never knew Goldstar made boom-boxes. Had a Golstar 386 computer back in late eighties, early nineties. Interesting to know.
We never saw GoldStar or Samsung Boomboxes over here, I did pick up an early 80's Samsung and was surprised at the high build quality, this GoldStar looks like late 80's entry level. I found these ads in Italian Electronics Magazines, I haven't seen them anywhere else.
Mrs. Did Goldstar make any walkmans, discmans? I have to say on my travels I never saw any Holdstars apart from computers.
Yes Goldstar made some cheap walkmans. Goldstar brand changed the name to LG and LG continued to make different electronic items including walkmans.
Cannot find any units of any kind over here Boodokhan. I look often enough. Do you find any over there apart from you know where? Would like to get some of the cheaper units to try but not being able to carry out repairs I don't want to risk it.
Post a wanted down below, there's a ton of members on your side of the world, some of them had boxes full of equipment. If you were nearer, I have some fixer uppers, lot's of entry level that were thrown in with the rare one.
Thanks for that. As they say you learn something new everyday. Its aamazing all the places iv'e been and never seen anything like it. How does it sound?
Very good and is known for that and its look. Like a quite decent full size box. In the US this model was also known as Prosonic PQR-9962 http://www.wikiboombox.com/tiki-index.php?page=Prosonic+PQR-9962
