I had a chance to check it out yesterday. I got appropriate 12 V adaptor but there is no power at all. I checked the brand new adaptor on another box and it worked. The orientation of the adaptor is appropriate ( tip is negative) I think it might be a fuse issue. Most probably an easy fix. I am very cautious with this box since it is very rare item to find. Will update you
