I just purchased a Sony WM-FS499 and the left pinch roller for auto reverse is missing. It doesn't look like anything else is damaged in that area the pinch roller is just missing. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement pinch roller? In the repair manual it's labeled as part number X-3369-749-1. Thank you. Screen Shot 2021-08-25 at 9.50.36 PM.png

It's likely hard to find a new one by that SONY original part number. I would rather look for what other units use a similar type pinch roller, because likely SONY used this roller on more than one unit.

By the looks of it, it's a roller that has a plastic pin which is built into the center plastic part. These have been used on other models. Go to https://www.fixyouraudio.com/ and look for the rollers that are in stock, although Marian may be selling the rubber part only for this type. You can also ask him personally.

If you can build up a list with models that use this roller, you can then go on ebay and find a lower quality one, take only the pastic part and buy the good quality rubber from Marian. Of course, another option is to find a cheaper donor unit to use it for parts.

Good luck ! And please post how you resolved the problem (if you do make a list with models sharing the same roller, please share that as well).
