I have a potential customer that's looking for a good working type deck and this is a good working radio but the tape deck is dead and these are pictures I took with my little camera first. Front Input end Back or rear Battery compartment After screw removal cracking it open Got to know are those speaker wires go to plug in. Just making sure where the wires go Overview inside before removing cassette deck. Back of tape deck cassette Making certain of what wires plugged into where and also note the amount of rubber tire wrapped around the motor or tar. See how both pulleys are now very clean. And now for the one picture I took with the phone And now where I'm at kind of an overview Finally, with a little help from boomboxery which this had stumped me. Here's a screenshot I found because I couldn't copy their picture or download it or whatever because. So now I'm going to get my own belts and start putting new belts into this model. I'll be back.
Got belts? Yes I got belts new ones old ones used ones flat ones square ones round ones idler tires. Yes these are just for boomboxes as the Walkman belts are with the walkmans and not out here.
This 10.4 in flat belt fits better than the other recommended sizes. Allow me to illustrate. You don't want your flat belt on there so tight that it binds the motor while it's rotating. Ideally you would want the belt to just reach the center of the shaft of the motor and no more which is what I have here with a 10.4 in belt as I've already tried a 9.7 and a really tight 9.6 that's no good.
50 mm belt seems to work the best for the auto stop feature and also the first belt you replace in this model. I thought I would show you how I measure belts. Okay, I'm installing this one.
132 mm roughly for the motor driven belt that drives the take-up reels via the clutch, how I measured it. Here it is installed without the flywheel in place. Well here it is running. I know you can't see it running, but maybe you'll get a blurred picture of the flywheel or something. Let's see. Hopefully the electronics work cuz I know the speakers do and the radio but tomorrow I'll be getting into this very dirty. Dusty grimy front speaker said and me cleaning that and cleaning the speakers and all that. Let me illustrate with a picture. There's a lot of dust in the speakers too.
Woofers are very dusty Put water all through the front cover, now it's drying Soon as this is dry I'll put the cleaned woofers back in.
This is how you adjust the speed by taking your driller screwdriver and putting it into the back of the motor in this model as I'm showing you here and I'm playing my test tape Yeah, it's probably too far away. You probably can't see that. Let me give you a close-up. Jvc ha-s160-a are the headphones that I'm using to listen with everywhere. Now the next event is to put both pieces back together now that I've got the front of the speakers cleaned.
