Whenever you start a new thread, you can add tags to it. This is very useful when you want to find some information inside the hundreds of threads and replies.
The forum search engine can search through titles and text but it can give hundreds of results, most of them unrelevant to your search... Except if you add tags.

Let's say you start a thread about -i.e.- your new walkman, a DC2. There you talk about it and mention stuff like the DD33, the DD9 and the green play button or the black case.

Later you do a search for info about the DD9 or the DD33, but you find lots of threads like this one, where they mention them, but they don't give you the info you're looking for... because they aren't tagged.

If you'd added "DC2", "SONY", "Dolby", "Disc Drive" as tags in your thread, the system will primarily find tagged threads, leaving the untagged (mostly mentions) as secondary result. So if you search for "DC2", this one will appear in the first results.
So if your properly tag your information, you'll find it much easier in the future!

Suggestion: Do NOT use complex tags, like: "Panasonic RX-DS45 boombox brochure". Instead use single words: "Panasonic", "RX-DS45", "Boombox" and "Brochure". This leads to a much better tagging and thus better searches.
Sometimes that cannot be possible, like with "Dolby C" (you many noy enter "Dolby" + "C") or "Disc Drive".
I hope this make you enjoy better our forum.

    Best whishes,
