Nice pick up! I wish I could tell you, my Pioneers stop at around SX-650. I grabbed a low end Fluoroscan Tape Deck just to check out the quality but I have never seen an amp around here. They look beautiful, do you do a full Pioneer Stack or mix and match. I try to grab the full series but it isn't easy when it's mostly in the wild finds, I should pull my Pioneer Stack out and see if it still fires up Show us the full stereo when you get it set up.
Those are going for big money now, I've never seen one but now I'd like to. I've got an A-9 that follows it and you can see a decline in quality, although I kind of like the lighted diagrams on the front panel. Maybe my A-9 is peeking, just a few years ago you could get them for $35.00 USD all day long. edit....just checked, holy cow have those moved up the vintage ladder, not a lot sold but for pretty good money......
Radio, here's a cool website with much more information on the Fluoroscan Units. This was one of those early cool websites with so much information, I'm surprised it's still up, so many have disappeared. There's also the Silver Pioneer Website on the Wayback Machine, they have some cool old links that you may have to also do through the Wayback Machine. I finally picked up a Pioneer SG-9800 EQ in great condition locally, and I was looking up some information and found these forgotten old sites. http://johnweeks.com/tour/pioneer/index.html#R3x00 https://web.archive.org/web/20061229175001/http://silverpioneer.netfirms.com/
