…first of all check out this earlier comparison: Sony TC-55 vs. Superscope C-108 reporter types, i love those two and they have an extra spot in my shelves - who knows who was first then… and well, as for Unix vs. Sony be asured, the Unix is a Cloneman and we learned, that those weren‘t mande by Sony…
Whats the official count? Why isn't Techmoan connecting with you, this would make a killer documentary!
well, lately i started to sort out doublettes. i also stopped to collect those, wich only have the basic mechanical movement and nothing else, those are full plastic thingies with one headphone-socket, no talkline and no rewind (if you want to get all of those as well, you‘re fooked, there‘s too many !) but off course keep those, that i have allready. so my classification of a proper Cloneman is: - all the same movement - metal cassette-lid - talkline function - two volume sliders (l/r) - 3x 1.5v battery (4.5v) i made an excel-sheet with all those Clonemen that i spected or own - i have now 57 different ones myselfe and spected more than 30 out there, wich are either some i have but in different colour, too far away or too expensive. so there must be at least 100 different ones, rather more. when ever i surf through ebay, i find at least one, ofte;mark them, but mostly let‘em go. there‘s only one unit i would seriously like to own myselfe, wich in the Samsung MyMy 906, wich wa recently sold on ebay and i missed it (but went to high for my budget anyway). so i remind on my offer: if anybody got a Smsung MyMy Cloneman, i‘m willed to trade for a Sony WM-3
arrived today: POSONIC SC-668 (who the f*ck invented that name ?) i thought, that Memorex cassette matches perfect
Here's a good one I picked up at a local market. It works fine. It probably can be classed as a clone of the Sony although it does not have the mic.
haha, thanks for reading this one nicely - i must have look at my boxed derivates if there‘s any demo-tapes and what‘s their content
yay, and the SINGON from @MICHAEL MURRAY moved in here as well to join the club thanks again, Michael
rightyright, time for a tiny update as audio sonic - MOVING SOUND this was obviously made for germany (all german writing on it), funny i got it from france
wow, this fred is dust collecting ? don't worry, folks, here's the news: MAJESTIC EasySound SD-1010 arrived from southern Tyrolia
This is a clone manufactured in Brazil in the 80's, apparently it was a copy of the WM-1. It's not mine, but it's for sale here in a facebook group. The seller says it's new old stock, which made me tempted to buy it... but I already have so much stuff.
