Not sure if this helps anyone, but with a garden railway, I'm always having to clean and tidy crud and corrosion. Had a few of these in the box so thought I'd see how well it would tackle corroded terminals.

It's a fibre glass "pen", and it does an amazing job at not only removing the corrosion from the main parts but also in those hard to reach nooks as well.

I'll be using one of these from now on.

You just have to make sure any strands that break off don't make their way into the mechanism, your fingers or eyes. But that's just common sense and easily avoided by keeping the tip as short as possible to avoid breakage.

This can be very useful, I tried to locate it on amazon but couldn't find it
Can you please post a link to any online retailer or somewhere to buy it?
    Thanks

    Excellent tip.

I bought one, works perfect. I even use it to roughen surface before I glue it. Thank you so much.

Awesome! Just dont get any of the small fibreglass in your fingers and then rub your eyes!

    Ouch!
