    IMG_1768.JPG hello all
I have a problem with this antenna which is really dirty and don't know how to clean it.
It look like some mold on it or just oxides .
Any idea what material I should use to clean it
    Thanks

If you have LCR (lime calcium rust) bottle under the sink, try that first on a small patch. Depending on what that s-thing is, it might work. If not, then steel or synthetic wool plus some polishing paste should work. If that thing got under chrome plating, then new antennas available from ebay

I will try every single item mentioned including Gojo (which i ordered from amazon).
The probel of finding Antenna is might not match this one. Aren't these antennas unique ? Do you mean that i find another box and use the antenna? I have already found another unit in Japan for parts but that one also has rusty antenna

New antenna is the last resort, of course! LCR or CLR household rust cleaners sometimes work, but only if you are very lucky! Not my case, but it worked for someone at other forum.
You can buy antennas for a few cents off ebay, in different sizes and lengths: I bought a few for my other hobby of plastic jet modeling. Cut to pieces they make for a nice hole punches

Just use steel wool. Works every time. Much easier & faster than any polish.

Just to update everybody, I used chemical cleaning material but The best result came with steel wool
using steel wool makes the antenna really shiny like a new one.

It really does work. Even on heavily corroded antennas. I also use it to clean my car's windshield. Gets rid of bugs and everything else without scratching.
