A couple of weeks ago I mentioned this price list from 1979 so here it is.
According to the Bank of England multiply prices by 5 to get 2019 prices.

The price list was with one of the £13.23 Multi-Chargers. I'm not sure what to do with it as the charge rate on AAs is about 60mA.

Electric Cars were cheap back then though :wink2

None of these companies ever seemed to have a big footprint. The Everready Batteries I've posted seemed to be the dominate brand over here but I don't remember anybody using rechargeable batteries in the 80's. Going by memory I think it was something like $60 USD for a full set of rechargeable batteries (and charger) and $3.00 USD for a full set of D's. Even up until a few years ago, whenever I looked at the display they were pretty expensive but non-rechargeable batteries have really been creeping up in price.
