Both mega cheap from a mate not yet cleaned/serviced
Does the Sanyo work on tape Si?? Love the 9998, I had access to one in 1979 & used it as a serious stereo cassette recorder Superb transport when it works!!
I don't think you will find it too challenging to make it like new again!! Lighted cassette compartment too a nice touch!!
Tosh is a nice spec but not really my thing - a rare bird I believe?
Nah of course it doesn't lol...even unserviced and crackly I can tell it's got good sound tho.
Yeh I think the Tosh is a relatively uncommon machine. This one is fully working it seems! I like its weird upside down look
si....check your pm
The Sanyo is a very good box the Tosh is junk sounding hated mine couldn't wait to get rid
That Sanyo looks clean, well worth fxing Si. And I love the Tosh even if it does sounds pants i'll still take it
You will be amazed once you rebelt it & clean all the mechanical pots etc..........
Any help you might want, pm me & get on the phone - it has the same deck as my M-9996K & first time inside one can be a bit daunting
Happy to help in any way to see that sing once again......they are very good stereo's
I really like those. They both look like great boxes. I really like that Sanyo. Its the dual VU meters that just sets it off for me. Excellent
Totally agree Chris, i paid a fortune for my tosh and dumped it streight in the shed, pos lol
Possibly a little harsh lol...you bass addicts lol
It has nothing to do with bass si lad, a womans vibrator sounds better than one of these lol
btw congrats on the sanyo, nice box
Nice radios, Si, esp. this Tosh, kinda rare bird these days..
I've always loved the look of those big Sanyos. Illuminated VU meters and shiny switchgear? Yes please!
Nice boxes Northerner!
Although many here say the box sounds crappy, could a speaker swap save it?
Toshiba like to use piezo tweeters that standard amps can't move
Tosh may not sound good but it sure looks good to me. Both lovely boxes.
