Sony Walkman WM DD - REWIND Reel GEAR replacement

I found a perfect replacement for rewind reel-gear.

I wounder it that can be used in a D3, with a pulley glued on top for the counter belt - i bet the old pulley can be cut off from old broken d3 gear and be put onto this one

 

It's excellent find. Fortunately it is simple gear. In wm-d3 the situation is little different but it should not be big problem to make pulley part only and attach it to the top of small gear.

 

just need a small 2mm pulley on top of that new gear

I think this could be the savour of many D3's

 

I've just ordered a few of these gears from Poland

...Actually I could use 6mm wide gear and use a lathe to grind a pulley out of the top part.

 

My gears should be here any day so will let you all know asap what they are like

 

Hi! I was just curious if you had any luck with the rewind gear replacement, or if you found some other alternative. My WM-DD33 needs a new gear, I tried gluing the old one, but can't get it to mesh properly with the other gear.

Yes, exactly that gear. From reading the thread, I wasn't sure if anyone had actually tried it yet in a Sony DD, or if it was something that could potentially work. Were you successful in fitting it? Sorry for being a bit slow here.
