JUst picked up this little beauty, needed a replacement stop button, i only had a white one from an old unit so will replace this with a black one when i locate one. Apart from that new belts, lube the mech, demag, clean pinch roller and shes good.

Surprisingly great sound, very smooth, the motor was way higher spec than i expected. Opening these is tricky as its all tabs and you have to do it with soft plastic to avoid scratches. All done now tho.

Tape door is in very nice order but i would like to polish it to remove any micro scuffs, anyone have any ideas on method and what to use?

Nice review T-Ster. Did you take any photos when you were changing the belts? As detailed in the Car Boot Sale Finds thread I have a WM-BF49 which looks to be similar but with Dolby and EQ that needs new belts. The cheapest I have seen were over £10 for a set of two. Where did you get yours ?

Our local favorite polish is NOVUS. Is there something special about these units? I've never seen one up close.

I love this walkman. Big Lebowski is a must watched movie for everybody.
This walkman is highly collectible and very hard to find. Am glad you found this.
I think you can find the missing buttons easily
I think this cheap walkman buttons are same as dude's walkman buttons
