    Hello there!

So I just got this very nice, Sony WM-D6C professional stereo cassette-corder.
But it is making strange noises, which was to be expected!

In the video, 24 seconds in, you can clearly can hear the noises:

Hopefully it is something that even I can fix!

Dent in the fly wheel rubber?

The noise sounds like some gears grinding together rather than a dent in the flywheel rubber. The REW / FF selector and the auto-stop mechanisms are prone to getting stuck due to the grease going hard and it is possible that these parts are not moving freely and partially sticking.
