found at a Estate sale yesterday.it does not have power cord.looking to try and find a power cord to see if it charges up or sell as is .seems to be in good condition but I don’t have a way to charge to check it out.
If you sign up for the Hi Fi Engine website you can download the manuals. https://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/technics/sl-xp5.shtml That will tell you what mains adapter / power cord you need. The good news about something that old is that the batteries are probably easy to replace NiCads
Nice find Leonard, I've been looking for one of those for years with no luck. I finally found a Technics Player a few years ago but it was egg shaped and seemed like the quality was questionable so I left it on the shelf, the hunt continues.
Wow, that's a beauty... reminds me of my Citizen CBM-777 portable, and my first home component player--a Technics SL-P1.
