Saturday December 10th, 2016 Boombox Collectors from all over Southern California descended on Venice Beach, hosted by Boombox Magazine. With an FM transmitter supplying the signal and all Blasters tuned to the same station, we laid it down all day!
It was good times..Alot of people stopping by and telling us about their favorite boxes they owned growing up.
Great pics!!! Love the Sencors and the Crowns , but I spy Chris hanging onto a fav of mine the 3090EN! Nice choice!
How i like that Helix-4700 , its on my wantlist since like forever Its such a visual bbox. Seems like you had some good time you guys .
Thanks everyone. It was amazing to meet new people and hang with the West Coast Crew again. The Bumpboxx is simply INSANE! We call it "The Destroyer of Worlds!" NOTHING HITS THAT HARD! Unless it has wheels on it and a Toyota or Nissan emblem no portable music player is this loud. Hats off to Rob Owens and Bumpboxx. The best part of getting the radios out into the world is the reaction on peoples faces. The people that "Used to have one back in the day" to the new kids that didn't even know what they are, it's so cool to just let them off the leash to ROAR!
I wish I knew about this event. I go to Venice beach a lot but unfortunately was not aware of this event.
If you are on instagram you can follow us at @boomboxmagazine for future events. You can also get in contact with @coexistdave or @oldskooladdictionz to find out when the next Venice meet will be. We will try to post up here on S2Go when the next events happen
