    Hi guys,

Been a while since I wrote something here in S2G.

I am looking for someone who is able to repair/restore my lowly Walkman WM-EX36. I just don't want to let my clumsiness to break this thing. I do have a copy of the service manual if anyone wants one, and it's easily obtainable from a Google search too.

The W/F is terrible, though everything else looks nice, until you get inside. You can hear the mechanism suffering from something I am yet to find out.

I already broke a WM-SXF30 (for parts now!). I overdone its motherboard and now I can no longer fix the phones out ever again.

Can any one tell me how to get started?

    Thanks!

There are some good tips for W&F on this forum. I don’t have a link but somebody might. Just do a search.
I can recommend making sure the pinch roller is very clean and the capstan might need its abrasive surface restoring which you can do chemically or first try roughing with a small piece of sandpaper.
