I actually dig the grunge aesthetic of that... thing. It's like looking at a black box from the Apollo Program >u<

@autoreverser what do you mean Westman? I like that, eh, thing... but also would have to undertake the procedure you just mentioned before paying for it

Wow! For weeks now I am struggling with just one Aiwa of that vintage. It hurts me to think about your efforts of keeping them "Westmans" running

Here is The Beast giving me a real hard time:

    L1120847.JPG

new belt from Miriam, then full recap, then adorned with my favorite cartoon character... only to realize that it does not lock into Rec mode! I do not care if it records off its mic (who does?!) but now I have to open it again!

Oh, and here is my latest toy, Audio Desk Systeme CD Lathe:
    L1120848.JPG
Snake Oil Gizmo which proved itself as a Real Thing: badly eccentric CDs, not playable on my Wadia 781, got fixed by this thing!! Circumcision for CDs does work o_O
Painting the edges with Magic Green Marker is my next step into Gizmology, but for now I am preoccupied with a bunch of Panasonic RQ-S and RQ-SX Walkmans. Where do you get new pinchrollers for Panasonic Walkmans??? @mihokm has one for Sony, but what about Panasonics?! Help!!!

Jorge, have you looked into Terry's? I have some old R2R's with flat rollers and found these guys years ago. I've never used them so I don't know how good the service is.

Nice player by the way, I've got a nice old Technics Turntable that would match those stickers nicely.
