Hi I found one of these models for around 40 dolars with AA battery dongle. Its in 10/10 condition. But I wonder why it dont have any recording option. My cheaper WM-GX652 has it. Did they removed recording to gain space and make it smaller or did they didnt put it since it would not sound good anyway. And is this particular walkman worth buying for that price ? Are FX models better than GX models, can someone explain :)

Just a case of creating product diversity and setting up tiered pricing. There are products that don't have a recording capabilities because not all people need one. There's usually a similar version that does have it, in this case I'd say the WM-GX674 which was probably slightly more expensive than the FX675. While a lack of recording capabilities can sometimes signify a more music oriented product with better sound quality, I'm quite sure that isn't the case here. Specs are the same in the manuals.

EX are for tape only players, FX models have a radio tuner, GX models have a radio tuner and recording capabilities. I think, there are sometimes deviations to this rule and the rules sometimes change overtime as well.
