    Hello all,

I have a strange issue I cannot fix on my WM-109.
FW plays just well, but when i click reverse, the mechanism works well and rolls the cassette other side, but the tape head remains playing the FW side, resulting in reversed audio.

This mechanism is one I never worked before on, in most mechanisms there is usually a switch on the board that does this job but on this one I am unable to understand how it works.

When I press play, the switches S702 and S701-1 are engaged. when I change direction to reverse, neither of the switches 701 or 702 change position. I confirmed with another youtube video that this the expected behaviour and mine mechanically does exact same thing as in another video of working unit.
In most units, there is a switch which moves along the mechanism and does the head track switch. I do not understand how this mechanism detects the direction change and engages the reverse tracks on the head. Anyone knows the mechanism and can help me out?

    Here is a demonstration video:

Here is the service manual for the unit: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fFEgAKIIhp7kf1nw2aX9guEL95zE1DPU/view?usp=sharing

    Thanks everyone.

Of course there is a switch.. I found my answer, it was the S301 not engaging as the lever was bent.. How did I miss that :D
