WM-3 Tape head mod idea, is it possible or worth it?

    I was wondering how easy it would be to de-solder a regular tape head on a WM-3 and replace it with a D6C head. Is it even possible? Theoretically, how much could this improve sound quality? Would there be any other major difference other than having a more durable tape head?

    I thought about this after seeing a badly dented D6C on ebay for 40$.
