This track reminds me of the very first track on this thread on page one.

 

Kind of hard to listen fully to the first track of this thread, that cover art just rubs me the wrong way.

 

I did a check on Wikipedia of this song by this British pop-rock band. It seems to be as I suspected: a parody (or "satire") of "fanatical" and often-hypocritical people. Their kind seemed widespread in the Seventies and the Eighties. They were -- and still are -- watched by millions as they fabulously claim to be followers of Jesus Christ.

 

Sorry but this is a piss -take on American Evangelism and the money it brings in . The members of Genesis were never a follower of Jesus Christ so far as I am aware.I do not think this sort of parody exists in the USA but probably I will be proved wrong. By the way The beginning of this record was never put out on The BBC so far as I know for the very reason it was insensitive .
