Hello, everybody! My name’s Roman from Spain. I’m deeply in love with music, from punk rock to classical music. As I’m not too wealthy (I’m a teacher, sigh...) I only have a couple of walkmans (Sanyo M 1150 and Aiwa HS T50), an iPod, a Hi-Fi system (really humble, JVC) and… nothing else.

If you want to know about my tastes regarding music, I tell you this as a statement of principles:

I do not enjoy digital music. I don’t like iPods (in fact, mine is still in the box), CD’s, mp3, etc. Too perfect, flawless, for me. I love that soft scratching from the cassette tapes and LP’s. It makes me feel oddly young (I was born in the 1960 sharp, so I remember everything, from the launch campaign of Sgt. Pepper’s or the media shock caused by The Dark Side…, to the birth of Grunge)

For my own part, the best albums ever (popular music) are:

    1- Sgt. Pepper’s…

    2- Rumours

    3- The Dark Side…

    4- London Calling

    5- Close to the Edge

    6- Paranoid

    7- Mëkanïk Dëstruktïẁ Kömmandöh

    8- Uzed

    9- John Denver's Greatest Hits

    10- Out of the Blue

On the other hand, If I had a lot of money, I would buy a Transrotor Artus FMD. Definitely.

    Glad to meet you.

    Roman

    Hi Roman!

Glad to welcome another spaniard. Bit by bit we are few enthusiasts here, like @TJ Autoreverse , @mankamaz , @HiFi22stealth and me.

The AIWA T50 is a nice unit, and its sound is probably on top of the midrange units.
My taste is towards rock, hard rock, pop/rock and 80s pop too, but also other genres too.

    Welcome to Stereo2go Roman666:wave:

You do not need to be wealthy to enjoy good analogue gear / music, you just need to choose wisely.
You have listed some nice albums there, some of which I have on vinyl. But I have to say your number 1 group is not for me, they are overrated and I own nothing by them.

    Thanks Hugo and TooCool4!
TooCool4, I know, but if I had 4,000 quid this Christmas to buy all I want, I would be a little bit happier! BTW, the Beatles are not my cup of tea, just the album. My all time group is King Crimson.
Hugo, I've got your cassette tape template and I have done a quite decent work (IMHO) with Outlaws' "Hurry Sundown". By the way, a couple of questions:
I have seen a TOSHIBA KT-4548 on TodoColección for 10 € (it needs to be repaired). Do you think is it worthy? And, do you know where can I find a repair service around here? I'm unable to do any delicate work, as I suffer from a mild Parkinson.
    Best regards

Welcome! Its nice to have my kind of crazy on board!!!
KC LPs are being pulled out and played at at sound levels they deserve each time my Boss is not at home!! (Does not happen often, usually its me who is out there in the Wild, hunting for an extra buck:(). Same with Magma and Mike Oldfield... PF is safe in my collection, after 1000 and 1 play I got, finally, "saturated". Or not: Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree are going thru the same routine of 1000+1 plays on my stereo, in my car, and thru Pono/headphones. The Raven Who Refused to Sing I even dubbed onto cassette and play thru D6 when Boss wont let me fire up my stereo!

    Welcome!!! :)

    Brandon, hi, friend!
Mankamaz. Hello, friend. My equipment is not a big deal. Someday, if I don't feel too ashamed, I'll upload pictures!
Jorge, I love Porcupine Tree, specially "In Absentia", and most of all "Blackest Eyes". Ravishing change of rhythm. Regarding Steven Wilson, I love the work he is doing remastering all KC records.
    I love this site!!!

    Welcome to S2Go Roman666!

I have to say I do agree with 90% of your list as being favourites of mine as well. You've pretty much covered some of the best albums from the 60's and 70's right there. Good taste my friend!
