    hi,Jorge,
It is NOT the same gear made by Mihokm.
Mihokm had done gourious work on DD center gear, his effort is historic! his excellent job Will be remembered by all SONY fans.
This brand new gears are made by me and a friend in China, we proposed a new mothod to solve the DD center gear problem and made it a reality.
and by the way, what kind of idler tires are you looking for? maybe I can offer some information.
    wish you luck.

There is a slot in the middle of the inner ring of the gear, and the gear has great flexibility. When the iron plate is inserted into the gear, it can be firmly attach。

Can you make a step by step installation for members? like the one Marian made it
Are the number of teeth on this gear same as original?
Can you show a video clip showing the gear in function/ play mode?

Yes, I’ ll make a step by step installation for all members, but it will take me some time to do that.( I am not proficient in writing in English yet, this is the fist real thread in my life in English).
I do have some video on my phone, and I’m learning how to post it to s2g

I’ve posted a video of this gear on the “Media”session.
The noise of the gear while running is Terribly quiet !

Hey, your English is fine! Marian's repair guide should work fine, it is only the part where the actual gear is assembled that would differ, right?

@mihokm has hundreds and hundreds of happy customers, its a tough luck to compete with The Man! Let me cite one of the classics from my collection, Colosseum: "those who are about to die salute you"!! ;)
Soft plastics may lower W&F, at least that is my thinking for the reason behind Philips use of its infamous soft "amber gears" in boomboxes. If this new gear hits higher specks than Marian's, then we have something genuinely new here, at least from my perspective of an old fa** who won't live to see how this soft plastic disintegrate in 30 years: I won't live to see it!

Disclaimer: I donated to @mihokm when he asked for help to make this gear possible. then bought one at full price for my DD Walkman, but have yet to install it: switched to boomboxes since then and use Pono and Discmans as my "portable" babies

    hi,jorge ,
Marian is a genius who has come up with such an unique solution to gear fixing。
Before I make this gear,I notice Marian’solution and I admire him from the bottom of my heart.
For some reason, I decided to make this gear, and then we(I and a friend) find a better way to fix the gear,as you can see in this case. I think it’s the simple and best way to solve the Sony DD center gear problem. Marian is a engineer, when he sees my gear, I think he will agree with that.
I posted our solution here just want to share it with all Walkman fans and hope you guys will like it.

In addition to the sony DD big gear, we also spent a lot of money to produce the small gear for many modules such as WM-150.
And I’m sure some guys who needs it in this forum will love it!
