    Hello everybody!
I'm a 40 year old boy (german/french) and a big music fan. I'm collecting music on vinyl and tape maybe longer than I can remember...:hmmm
A few years ago, I restarted collecting the Sony DD-series that makes me feel the good old days in the late 80s and early 90s and gives me the possibility to enjoy my tapes in different ways and spaces...
In the future, I'm expecting to be able to repair my DDs completely on my own.
And by the way, i've purchased some stuff for my DDs from DoubleCee a few days ago...after this, for real, it was time for me to become a member here at stereo2go.
Hope I can get good support for my projects in this great forum and maybe can give some support to somebody else in future.
The following pic is taken in my music garage.... 15367914225801382345408.jpg
    Glad to be here!
    Cheers

Thanx for the "first contact" !

I'm just listening to a tape in my "music garage".... this time it isn't a DD playing the music...
I know, this is not a stereo2go hifi, but maybe shows my passion to a certain era....

For me it's the first analogue screensaver I owned.... still working ... so happy about!
    That's why like the peak level meter on Sony's D6 / D6C / D3 so much too.

And you are even able to change the look.....:boogie:

Great photo, it looks very cozy. Does that tape case say AIWA on it?

I think I have that controller but I didn't know you could change the screen, I'll have to pull it down to see, I might have two different models of it.

That tape case say "AND A" - The complete text is "2 DJs and a tape"

You can change the display mode on your SH-8030 by pushing the dimension-button (on/off)

I know, should better not put this machine into the clip... but let me do it just one time for you and S2G

Not easy to explain what the dimension controller does exactly to the sound... but I try to make it short and easy.

There are 2 regulators, one first on is putting more or less hall effect to the music.
The other one let the music sound more or less complete, especially voices are more in front or in the background...
This is what I can definitely notice
I use this gimmick very often... you'll believe...

    Just to complete,
there is a echo regulation - this is like a hall effekt - but very powerful - if it's on "0" there's no echo
And there is this ambiance regulation. The more you turn up, the more you and your ears have fun, no matter what kind of music.....
    Really awesome and recommendable.......

Oh, Boy! You are Bad! I never place anything on top of my Sondek dustcover, and even forbid The Boss to dust it, unsuccessfully though... Keep a new cover for when I decide to look like hi-end...
