The link posted by Deb64 to a eBay listing is the correct one you need, but I can see corrosion on the terminals so you would need to give it a good clean.

    Hi Boodokhan

I note you say that the battery case is easy to find but I have been looking on Y-bay uk for some time since I wanted one and I have not managed to find one as yet .Is there another source ? I am however reluctant to but from a Japenese web site and I wonder if that is where you find them ?

Hi Philip Taylor, i don't think they are easy to find. Incidentally why don't you want to buy from the Japanese site, is it the postage cost stopping you?

    Hi TooCool
I cannot seem to get my google translator to work so I have not a clue what it says or how much it costs I am also having trouble trying to upload a video to show how the TC-44 battery case fits The WM-D6C. I have taken two videos on my iPhone but I cannot find them to down load when I upload on the stereo2go site for some reason .

Good news is Sony made this battery compartment for different devices.
For now I found the battery compartment of TC-55 (heaviest walkman ever made :nodding:) is EXACTLY same as D6c
My TC-55 works fine and I need it (I have only one unit).
I know for sure Sony made more devices with this battery compartment. If you be patient I can tell you by next week other devices which share this battery compartment. I have to check all my collection to find the best solution for you.

BUT remember you still need to find the battery cover which only made for D6C or D6

Yes as Boodokhan sayS the TC-55 and also the TC-44 which I have are identical to the battery case for the SonyD6 OR D6C. As you know the battery lid is available online as referred to above

    Alright, so some interesting news.

All of the TC line of Cassette Recorders use the BP-23 battery housing unit made by Sony. The TC-42, 44, 48, and 55 amongst others use this unit, and it is the exact same unit that comes with the WM-D6C. The difference is just the cover, which above has been offered as a 3D printed copy.

SO! Does anyone have a beaten up, for-parts, or otherwise undesired TC 42,44,48, or 55 that they would be willing to sell?
(also, should I make a new post for this listing?)
