Here it is the panasonic car stereo in a modern 2015 vehicle here it is in a car with a touch screen which normally would not have cassette. There is an installer in my area who can do amazing work.

Theres a super amazing car audio place in my area they can do any kind of car the worst part was the kit it was insanley expensive but worth it. It had cd and usb but it broke down I have the cassette deck and matching 8disc cd changer. But thats harder to show its under my seat I'll post pics sometime. I kept an old panasic cq unit all these years.

The cd player that was there had a weird problem it would only play certain tracks and not others and some cds not at all. I had to use a shop to sadly you can't do it your self any more.

Sorry if the music might seem lame but it didnt trigger the youtube copy right check it out I get super amazing sound to and sorry for the poor video quality something was wrong with my phone at the time. I will make an updated video sometime. Its got a full LED display to and Im not sure what year its from the only thing thats poor on it is the radio tuner. Sometimes great sometimes bad I show it off on the video a little.

How do you guys like the performance of the unit it is super nice to have tapes in a new car and they kept the usb stuff to so other people are happy so it can play tape cd and usb. I'll make a better vid sometime and show all that. The touch screen you saw in the pic oriignally controlled the music but is disabled for music now. Im not sure when I got my panasonic but i believe its from 1994 it was second to top of the line.

Good to see a post about cassettes here.

I have asked Hugo to clear out all the spam we seem to be getting.

p.s What type of car is it ? You are lucky to have any kind of space for an aftermarket unit.
My wife's 2005 Ford Ka came factory fitted with a radio cassette but it was all shaped to the dashboard so would have been difficult to swap for anything else.

I got it in a 2015 dodge journey theres a place near me they can fit any kind of head unit you want space is not an issue this is rare in a car with a touch screen.

Its the base line of dodge journeys and it came with cd and usb but one day the cd and usb stopped working at random and the cd player came on wtih nothing it and made a horrible the dealer replaced it 3 times under warrenty still wouldnt work the cd player would not play certain tracks on some cds even though they worked fine in others and other chrysler cars. Normally I dont mess with a touch screen system but there s an awsome audio shop in my area and the'll do anything you want. I did buy speakers from them and there amazing.

Thanks for replying. We get neither Dodge or the Journey over here in the UK. We do get Jeep though who I believe are made by the same company.

Chrysler has gone down hill and I know jeep is related but not sure how. Chrysler used to have wonderfull infinity audio radios but they lost that in 2002 infinity would also fine tune the speakers for every car even budget ones. Inifinity audio has now been bought and sold to not quality any more. You can see my previous video here is what I had in the car before I will show you how i had it hooked up before I originaly had it under the seat playing through the aux. If you scroll up you'll see my panasonic radio that I had before. I also had new sony car speakers put in there fantastic quality.

That Xplod is pretty cool, I've never seen one before. I'm lucky, my work trucks are old and still have the cassette decks, mostly Ford. Even 30 years ago I had the same decks, when I was a young delivery driver, and really like them for a factory standard radio/cassette. Feel free to post more of your system, I just bought another vintage auto cassette deck, they are very closely related to all the stuff on this forum. I love hitting a thrift store or garage sale and grabbing some cassettes and then playing them, people think It's odd but then you start cranking it in the truck and they love it.
