Speedy, if you can find the video, let me know, I looked up and down his channel and can't find it, he did a similar unit, the Sennheiser but I can't find the Sony. I checked Yahoo.jp and can't find any info on them.
Seems to be one of those "great" ideas tried by everyone once http://www.techmoan.com/blog/2018/10/16/the-best-neck-speaker.html
I don't recall seeing that specific Sony before. However, there is a Sony in Techmoan's video I just posted. There was actually a brief look at a Scarf style stereo in the !979 Tomorrows World in which they looked at the launch of the Walkman. Either there is a big enough market for these to make them worth making, or each new wave of designers thinks they have come up with a great new idea.

I saw that too as I kept a watch on it. It is probably about the right price as it was without handle and brackets and had a couple of issues. A complete and working one I would be thinking around £500.
If you get a Sony FH7, red is the one to have, this is the FH-3 going for big dollars, at least shipping is cheap, this one is in Paris. I can't tell but the honeycomb speakers look roached in the photo. https://www.ebay.com/itm/SONY-FH-3-...758758?hash=item2ad1e03726:g:FuYAAOSwkJJdRyI7
This listing has the Sears (Sharp) microcassette kangaroo boombox, this is the smaller version of the GE Roadshow, the main difference is the oval speakers. These tend to be more rare than the Roadshow and it comes with a Panasonic RX-4. The cassette door looks broken and it's missing trim but if you get a tv transmitter these are pretty neat. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-Pair-2...996077?hash=item1cd7866f6d:g:d9UAAOSwp8RdVILE
Wow, check out this first generation Panasonic RS-451S, that looks lovingly cared for since new. The piano keys are super cool looking and the whole box has a Space 2001 Vibe that comes with it. It looks like Pioneer may have borrowed the clear smoked control cover from this unit and this one looks great. This is the first time I've seen an "erase plug" hook up, not really sure what that is? How does the line in work, does the mixing switch control it? Usually the mixing is for the remote mics but who knows? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Pa...a=1&pg=2047675&_trksid=p2047675.c100010.m2109
You can tell from the styling that it is a very early stereo box, and a different Ebay listing claims 1973. https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/Vintage-19...AFC-Spacer-Cassette-Recorder-Radio/1753650058 While my Mother had a Sanyo radio Cassette in 1973 I didn't become aware of one piece stereo boxes until about 1977 when Supescope boxes were for sale in Debenhams Peter Vis has a detailed article on the model. https://www.petervis.com/Cassette_T...sonic-rs-451s/national-panasonic-rs-451s.html His comments about the use of audio transformers confirm this is a vintage design. The speakers in his unit seem to be date coded 1975
Just saw this for sale...thought may be of interest. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/183929934233

Sharp VZ V20. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SHARP-VZ...453459?hash=item3fc98dce53:g:dNUAAOSw0tNdU7~J I saw the same model sell in an auction on Buyee for about £800 a couple of months ago and a much earlier version of the same idea from National Panasonic (and much closer to my price range) https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/273964412344?rt=nc&_trkparms=aid=222007&algo=SIM.MBE&ao=2&asc=20160908110712&meid=144bb832d0dc4af2ad78d46911efe2d1&pid=100677&rk=8&rkt=30&sd=273964453459&itm=273964412344&pmt=0&noa=1&pg=2385738 I wonder if the description of using a BSR deck is correct or whether they just mean a BSR style deck.
Nice National, it's too bad it the color stinks, some fancy bright plastic would have really made it stand out like that Sharp. We just had a Sharp VZ-2000 sell for $350 USD (inc shipping), I think that is more like the going price for those boxes, of course the red is much cooler and rarer.
