Found this on the Interwebs! Although an artists rendering, my heart skipped a beat! IMHO this is a beautiful fusion of new and old. Just gorgeous...thoughts?

I created the renderings a few years ago, the boombox design was inspired by the Dragon components in this brochure.

It's a long time that this picture is out Brutus!
However put it in production now!
    Definitely a best seller!
What is wrong with Nakamichi these days?
I just entered their website it looks that the company is ill and needs designer cure of their whole lineup

Yup i remember this one, reminds me of the hyper bass units from jvc, class from Dwayne as usual, if only producers of boomboxes would take note instead of making the tastless tat they have been making, but for me it would have to have cassette or it would be no go from the get go

I must confess as to thinking it was Retro's but I don't recall seeing it before! It is truly one of your best Retro :worship::worship: If I were an exec at Nakamichi today, I'd be searching for your phone number. One thing missing from the box that I love about the real Dragon is those beveled black buttons. They truly were a Nak original.

@Radio Raheem. I do remember those hyperbass units. They also had the gold-band foot on the bottom of the boombox. It really stood out!. Good memory Reno!

I think with art like this, retro could get his own sub-forum here! Retro's Boomboxes Of The Future! Never get tired of these pics Retro

    Yes unfortunately.
    Citing Wiki:
Nakamichi's footing in the digital age was not concrete.
In fact, its presence in the rapidly growing audio/video arena was modest at best

    It's a cool design, indeed.
Retro, if you could create an album in your Media tab with all those creations it would be nice for all members. I still remember some from the old forum.

That was one of my earlier concepts, done in Photoshop before I learned to model in 3d. This was the updated version I created a few years later.

    These are mini discs?
I think you are a talent wasted!
    If i was a c.e.o i would give it a go!
    Analog digital combined?
Starting price 1000 US little less or little above could be a real seller!
