Latest found....Sanyo MGP30

I recently bought this Sanyo MGP30 from a local thrift store for 1$. It was missing the belt clip and not working at that time. After I cleaned the battery terminals and changed new belt it works fine but there is a hissing sound when I hit the play button don't know why. Any idea why this happens?

 

Ive been looking for one of these in Black for ages.
Im guessing that despite the numbers made, not many survived (I threw my original one away when it started to fail in the late 80's).

 

I do not have this walkman and it appears to be a simple generic walkman. is there anything special to this walkman?

 

NOPE.

There is nothing special about the walkman at all, other than a high quota of nostalgia.

 

Nothing special about this one but it sure bring backs some sweet memories.
