I've used Sony speakers with my Technics and they have produced decent sound but I'm wondering if there are any speaker/amps you would recommend for this brand of deck, based on personal experience or testing? The model specifically is an RS-M225. Thanks all!
I think I have that deck out in the shop, I had to look it up and found a new Peter Vis Website for Technics, who knew? I don't have a lot of space in my office and my speakers for the last few years have been Klipsch Heresy Original Edition, for the small room they give me great sound and would probably make a good match. If I have that deck I might pull it down, rebelt it and give it a listen, I also have some smaller ADS Speakers I've been wanting to hook up, they sounded good when I got them last year but they've been doing very limited shop duty. I've always loved Technics Equipment, they were a little down market from the big three; Sansui, Pioneer and Marantz back in the late 70's but they always had neat looking "working man" equipment, not the best but most of it was solid and a good value. Some of their tape decks might be nicer than their main stream amps, a different brand paired with it might sound better.
i would have thought the obvious thing to do would be to find a matching Technics Amp from the same era.
