How many auctions was that? In general the larger the lot the bigger the bargain. A few months ago there was a lot of 30 boomboxes including a VZ2000 and VZ2500 for £500 that sat there for weeks. Not many people have the space for that many spares or repairs boxes or even the means to transport them. The sale would probably have been far more popular if the seller had split the lot into smaller quantities.

Amusingly, in his last video Techmoan bought some prison headphones then thought he had overpaid. Only when they arrived did he discover the auction was for ten pairs !

Cool collection, it's always fun to open the box up and see what's new.

Show us the boomers Northerner! We never have big lot's like that over here, you guys get all the luck.

Well I can’t right now as they’re boxed up in two places, but my new barn foundations go in next week so when the barn is up and I can sort my ‘stock’ I’ll share a pic or two :)

So you are having a Boombarn !
    :moonwalk::moonwalk::moonwalk::moonwalk::moonwalk::moonwalk::moonwalk:
I guess you might have a few other uses for it.

Was the lot of 35 the one on Ebay, with all the boxes pictured outside against a wire fence ?
As I said in a previous post it definitely included a Sharp VZ2000 and VZ2500.

When I saw it I thought what great value it was, but not when you are already paying £130 a month for a storage unir because your garage and loft are full (of all sorts of things).

Ah, a Duke. Interesting. Didn't know about those before. It's a very early mono unit, I'm guessing early-mid 70s'. I really like these look & feel of these older types. The main Japanese brands made this type of units as well. Here's a small selection:
    Sony TC-50 & TC-55
    National/Panasonic RQ-210
    Sanyo M-508
    Aiwa TP-748

    Yep
Yep definitely a boombarn though I also have a fair few vintage bicycles plus off road buggies and a quad to get in. It’ll be 30 foot square so it’ll have room :)

The big haul was from a fellow collector who had to clear his storage. Only managed to fix and sell one so far as I’ve been dealing with other stuff ie moving house, house renovation, a bit of forestry lol

I remember the duke brand as a boy even on 45 rpm record players ... we talk about the 70s ... but I have not found anything now on the internet
However, this batch of 21 pieces is giving me satisfaction

There are only the writings you see in the picture ... inside the battery cover it says model T-280 .... on the front only the Duke crown-shaped logo .... on the side where there are the Mic attacks ... Ear ... Pwr ..ce written Japan 2330 ... apart from there are volume ... record ... level .... I had put in the old post a link that led to a similar one but with the brand Westinghouse ... As already described in the old posts I remember the Duke brand also on other electronic finds of the time such as radios and portable turntables (45 rpm) .... this is what I know about this model
