WoW.....I love the look of all the Walkmans that you have..... Nothing looks better than a Walkman collection...
VERY DISTINCTIVE RAISED GOLDEN LETTERING ON BLACK. Used to have that and in a moment of craziness (because I couldnt call anything else besides something I can't write here LOL). It make my stomach turn.I always loved Walkmans and when they came back I thought I would get rid of some. I had 84. Now I have 45 =(
Newest addition to the family. Was a bargain. $60 and works. Just need new belts. Just a heads up on the belts for these. You'd think it'll be the same as WM 10's but the belt is completely different. The pulley and motor assembly is different.
Thanks but after putting in a new belt and cleaning the old one off the speed is way off. Tried adjusting but the adjustment screw makes no difference. I think I need to give the little sensor a clean. These walkmans have an encoder wheel outside the motor and a sensor is attached to the side of the motor. Might give it a clean this weekend and hope it makes a difference.
Well here's the WM 3 Excellent I received this week. The side panel is shiny as hell . That part was quite scratched and dirty so after some cleaning and light sanding it ended up looking like a gold mirror! Looks cool but don't think I'll leave it that way. I will be painting it back to the original color and finish. Will post up more photos once that's done.
Finally have all colors for WM F30. All work well. Last addition was the pink one and had to wait a long time to find one in near mint condition.
Im not starting a walkman collection.. I have too many collections I just own a TPS L2 and some GE new in package still.
So decided to repaint the side panel on my WM 3 EX. After sanding and polishing it back it looked very chrome and even though it looked cool it's not how the finish is originally. I went with a Tamiya paint color. For reference i used TS 75 which is Champagne Gold. 2 coats of plastic grey primer and 3 coats of Champagne Gold. I think it turned out really well. I'll let it dry over 24hrs and might give it a light polish.
excellent work How did you manage to keep the writing marking safe? the blue paint of the fine writing is well preserved
